The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI) Interest Group under the Anatomical Society of Southern Africa (ASSA) seeks to promote a more inclusive and diverse environment in anatomical education, research, and professional practice. The group aims to foster awareness, dialogue, and practical action to ensure that equity, diversity, and inclusivity are integrated into the fabric of anatomical sciences across Southern Africa.
Purpose
The EDI Interest Group will serve as a dedicated platform to:

- Encourage the implementation of inclusive practices in anatomical education and research.
- Provide a space for dialogue on population affinity, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, and other diversity factors in the context of anatomical sciences.
