FAIG Representative

• In general, act as a liaison between the FAIG members and the ASSA Council to bring to the attention of the Council any recommendations, concerns or queries that the FAIG members may have.
• Maintain and regularly update the FAIG mailing list.
• Disseminate information that may be of interest to the FAIG members via email. This includes seminars, workshops, conferences, job adverts, academic discussions and/or any other relevant information.
• Liaise with universities on a rotational basis to facilitate an annual FAIG workshop at the ASSA or ISMS conference. The workshop facilitation and arrangements will however remain the responsibility of the respective university(ies).
• Foster collaboration within the respective interest groups
• Reporting to the ASSA Council on developments or concerns within FAIG

Terminology Chairperson

  • Bring updates of all terminologies associated with the IFAA terminologika to the attention of the ASSA terminology committee
  • Consider proposed changes brought forward by the IFAA regarding terminologies and then relay feedback from ASSA to the IFAA
  • Oversee correspondence related to terminology matters and bring updates to the attention of the ASSA membership when appropriate.

IFAA Representative

  • Liaise with the President of the IFAA regarding information which needs to either be disseminated directly to council or to the broader membership
  • Liaise with the secretary of the IFAA regarding referenda, policy changes, voting of societies. The liaison also includes serving as a correspondent between ASSA and the IFAA
  • Lodges votes on behalf of the ASSA council at IFAA meetings and is required to attend IFAA congresses
